Samsung has provided information about the upcoming latest mobile camera sensor via a video. In it, the company talked about the technology used in the 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor. This sensor is expected to be included in the upcoming premium phone soon. The ISOCELL HP1 sensor has several functions based on the deep learning algorithm for remoting. Samsung’s new HP1 sensor can capture enough light, allowing for better low-light photography. These include features like Staggered HDR, Multisampling, Smart-ISO and Double Super PD.
Samsung says the new sensor is capable of 2×2 pixel binning. This allows the camera to record 8K video with sufficient field of view shrinkage. In addition, 4×4 binning is also possible with the HP1 sensor, which leads to images in 12.5MP resolution.
There have been some recent leaks that have hinted that Xiaomi will be offering dual primary cameras in its next flagship smartphone, one of which will be equipped with a 200-megapixel camera sensor. Xiaomi may be the first company to launch the 200MP ISOCELL HP1 sensor. At the moment, however, it is speculation on our part. Both companies have not shared any information regarding the launch of upcoming smartphones or camera sensors.
